In the recent wave of fuel vehicle price reduction and new energy vehicle price insurance tide, many consumers are speculating which car companies will reduce prices and which car companies will announce price insurance. On March 15, NIO officially announced that it would not follow up on the price reduction.
Pu Yang, assistant vice president of sales operations at NIO, said in a recent interview: “NIO will not participate in price reductions through various types of ET5 allocations or equity reductions. We believe that this wave of price cuts is coming fiercely and receding quickly. NIO will strive for a larger market share according to its own strategy, through direct management means, more efficient operation, and more refined gross profit operation mode, to provide users with a very high-end cost-effective, highly competitive product. The weekend of March 11 was typical, with both store visits and test drives surpassing new highs in the past 12 weeks. ”
NIO believes that high-end brands should not be high prices, but the accumulation of internal spiritual temperament, covering the proposition of originality and consistency, and continue to create a full-process experience that exceeds users’ expectations.
On February 2, NIO launched a discount campaign for the clearing of old models, and the price of NIO’s 2022 ES6 and ES8 models was reduced by up to more than 100,000 yuan. NIO also places no restrictions on purchasing vehicles and battery leasing (BaaS). For users who buy all cars, including NIO ES7, NIO also gives discounts ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 yuan.
First Electric learned from NIO’s Beijing store that the inventory clearance activity has basically ended, and the stock cars have been discounted. The new models currently on sale do not have preferential promotion policies, and at the same time, they have not received the manufacturer’s policy on time-limited price insurance for the time being.
